Classic Airliner Collection No. 1 has a great mix of action from decades ago, as well as some of the finest preserved aircraft still operating today.
Far more Argosies were flown by the RAF than any airline. Our visit to RAF Benson in 1962 sees them in action at Squadron strength.
In the UK, one of our best-remembered Connie operators has to be Euravia. There’s a wonderful sequence showing one of their aircraft delivering and collecting holiday makers at Tenerife.
A cluster of classic airport scenes feature an Aer Lingus Carvair, a Lufthansa Super Constellation, a Sabena DC6B, Channel Airways and Comair DC3s. Plus Prinair Herons – but not all on the same ramp!
There’s a nice study of SAFE Air Bristol Freighters, including air to air shots. From South Africa come Rovos Air, Nelair and SAA DC3s. Also, a detailed look at Rovos’ CV440s in their prime.
In a tribute to British Eagle, we have the history of the airline, using new material and shots of Eagle aircraft from some of our other videos.
Bruntingthorpe’s Comet 4C is seen in close up from both inside and out, during a taxi session.
There’s also a ramp-side view of the day in 2007, when Hamburg Airport played host to some of the best-preserved propliners. Lots of DC3s, and an Li2, plus G-APSA in KLM colours, the LTU Dove, Lufthansa JU52 and the Breitling Super Constellation, all in glorious sunshine!

Just received & thoroughly enjoyed your Classic Airliner Collection No.1. T.V.
Thank you for these latest wonderful collections, bringing back the sights & sounds of yesteryear. It always amazes me how the authentic soundtrack matches exactly with the old silent cine film sequences. Just like being there again! K.R.
